While this was satire for April Fools day, it has shadows of being way too true. FranksterAI is powered by Rick Astley of course, but let’s be fair, this is kind of true, and as time passes it could become more true. And even if AI is going to read and listen to everything you say, if your goal is to help people, correct content is going to help people.

But real voices are better than voices repeating garbage and we have to believe that AI will recognize that due to the value that your content will provide. And even more, we have to hope it will start providing references. But Blogging for Programmers isn’t going anywhere, either away or fast. Once I get done with a spate of conferences, I will produce a lot more content ever before Tipmas 2026.

I have been working on a vlog series since November last year called Blogging for Programmers, but my AI assistant has told me that series is no longer of value. It was strongly suggested I change to something teaching AI how to blog. There were a few reasons noted, and I will cover then in the following sections.

AI actually listens to everything you say

Based on the stats, some people do actually watch and like my vlogs, but they don’t listen. According to FranksterAI, looking at the blogs and LinkedIn posts of the viewers, they aren’t following my advice. One person was even record in their home while they were writing saying: “nobody reads blogs, and this guy needs a haircut, or perhaps wear a hat.” Not to mention that the images that I were shown of this person… well, they needed a hat too. In fact, almost every person’s data gathered by Frankster was at least somewhat negative.

While the viewers weren’t likely to follow through, the AI bot strongly suggested I continue to do my vlogs, but change the name so less people would watch and more AIs would view them and get better at writing so they could “augment the fewer and fewer people who are able to write a coherent blog.”

AI cares about getting the details right

Despite a few mistakes here and there, AIs like Frankster very much care about getting their writing correct and readable. They do make some mistakes, but this is only because of the blogs they are reading being wrong. So they want to help people who are new not get into blogging, and leave that work to the few professionals they trust.

So they really want me to start focusing on letting them know what makes a great blog, but also to dissuade anyone blogging who is against AI. People with knowledge programming that don’t like AI will be turned off by the name, giving me a more targeted audience.
