Feedly Friday – Feeds I Read #12

Feeds I Read Page | Other Feedly Friday Posts

Welcome to my continuing series of posts where I am going to highlight one or two feeds I follow in Feedly. Technology feeds only, though I keep up with other things like theme park news in there too.

Feedly is an RSS reader that you can use that is free for a very reasonable number of RSS feeds. It is the best way to follow a large number of websites and see what is new.

This is a blog I found out about listening to the October 23rd episode of the Simple Talk podcast.

Lee Brownhill’s Blog

While it isn’t the most active blog yet, there have been two posts this month and more than a few interesting posts to catch up on that still feel very useful and relevant. He is clearly trying to get going an hopefully getting a bit more traction can help him get going more and more. Topics include Parameter Sniffing, SQL Bits, Testing with tSQLt and more.

Like I wrote about earlier this week, we need more active blogs, and one of the way we get them is to encourage writers, and to get them a few reads. And as i learned back when I started writing, everyone needs readers, because readers give feedback, and feedback is how we learn things. Getting just a little “that is great” or “that isn’t exactly right” is extremely helpful and encouraging. Heck, even a “you are completely wrong, let me help you understand why” is priceless.

So thank you Lee, looking forward to more!
