Apparently procrastination is a negative (S01:E10)

So this episode, ironically, was one of the first ideas I had, and was supposed to be one of the first episodes. But that title just let it stew a bit and get better (and it let me vent on a few other things that I had brewing too!)

But the fact is, one of my primary tactics is to be patient and put off things that don’t feel like they are really ready to be done. It is maybe not exactly procrastination, but it certainly feels that way. This being possibly very close to the end of this podcast, it seemed like a good place to go. Though maybe I should wait a bit before I press publish.

(Note: I rarely if ever press “Publish” on anything. I schedule it all. By the time this goes out, I should have a writer tip about this up on the Blogging for Programmers vlog!)

The season finale (probably) focuses on the balance between planning and action. Throughout the video, Louis explores the concept of picking the time to start working on something that feels like procrastination, but it is not a negative trait, but rather is strategic delay until the right moment. He shares personal insights on the importance of timing, planning, and the courage to start projects even when not fully prepared. The video also touches on the challenges of self-marketing, the value of feedback, and the significance of motivation in avoiding technical debt.
