SQL Server and Fabric Data Warehouse T-SQL Differences

If you, like myself, are a solid T-SQL programmer, the thoughts of trying to learn a new dialect of SQL can be daunting. I like learning new things as much as most people, but when you know one thing and have to use something remarkably similar, but very different, it can be tough.

I have been working in Microsoft Fabric heavily in the Data Warehouse, and the fact that it uses a version of T-SQL that you can barely tell apart from SQL Server is amazing. Yet, the same language doesn’t mean it is the same platform. For all its similarities, there are differences that can help you work well in both environments. 

In this session I will cover as many of the differences as I can, starting from the most obvious and continuing with some issues you might never actually see, unless you do.
