This is my non-exhaustive list of sites I subscribe to in Feedly. Every week I am going to add one or two more feeds in what I am going to call my “Feedly Friday” posts. I will add people to the list as I blog about them, Nothing should be implied by the ordering of the sites!

  • CuratedSQL – Fantastic resource from Kevin Feasel. These aren’t Kevin’s personal blogs, but rather a feed of interesting blogs he has read. (His blog is located at: https://36chambers.wordpress.com/).
  • Simple Talk – A resource with cross platform posts about almost everything. I was editor for a couple of years, and there are nearly 400 of my posts on the site, along with countless thousands of others.
  • SQLBlog.org – The website of Aaron Bertrand, a very smart person and a great writer. Working with Aaron on some of the posts on his feed was a highlight of my career!
  • VoiceOfTheDba – SQL Server Central‘s Steve Jones’ personal blog that is filled with fun, interesting, shocking, easy to read and learn from blogs.
  • Andreas Wolter – Blog largely about SQL Server security from a former Microsoft Product Manager over security, not to mention a rich history of being SQL Server Master.
  • Brent Ozar Unlimited – The website/feed of Brent Ozar Unlimited. Well worth a follow just to see what Brent says!
  • Nikoport (Niko Neugebauer) – Despite not being a terribly frequent poster recently, it is worth knowing about Niko’s blog for many reasons, not the least of which is his 131 part series on columnstore that is a thing of blogger legend.
  • Darling Data (Erik Darling) – This is the “blog” from Erik Darling‘s site, which is honestly the best blog if you don’t like to read, but you want to learn. The text on each post is the same, but each post contains an informative video about SQL Server coding/performance tuning.
  • Figuring Out Fabric Podcast – Hosted by Eugene Meidinger, this is a feed of posts about Fabric where Eugene interviews (or is interviewed) about aspects of Microsoft Fabric. Worth adding to your Feedly feed, or your favorite podcatcher and listen while you work, drive, or clean your house/desk!
  • T-SQL Tuesday – A monthly blog party where a host suggests a topic that is (or at least should be), interesting to someone working in data. Was started by Adam Mechanic and is currently managed by Steve Jones.
  • Andy Leonard – BI heavy posts, including SSIS. Not to mention Andy is a very interesting person to follow and read his posts even if you aren’t that interested in the topics he discusses.
  • Glenn’s SQL Performance – Glenn Berry’s site and blog where he maintains and shares blogs on SQL Server Dynamic Management Views and Hardware. An invaluable resource that every SQL Server DBA should know about!
  • Kellyn Gorman (DBAKevlar) – Lots of interesting information about AI, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Professional Development and other topics. Also, if you don’t already follow her on LinkedIn, do so now (or whenever you have time, Kellyn isn’t going anywhere… well other than to keynote a lot of different conferences.)
  • Tales from the Field – A group of Microsoft employees YouTube channel. Topics in their feed on Azure, Fabric, Conferences, AI, SQL Server, general Data and analytics. PostgreSQL, Professional Development/Rest, and even some fun videos from their travels.
  • Lee Brownhill – Newer blog from blogger featured on the Simple-Talk podcast. Topics include Parameter SniffingSQL BitsTesting with tSQLt and more.
