Today kicks of my first attempt to professionally do Vlogmas. 24 videos (26 including this holiday intro\outro!) in 24 days with some of the advice I like to remind myself of every time I sit down at this keyboard and start typing. Now while I am calling them Vlogmas, really it is just the timing that makes them holiday oriented. The intro and ending videos will be the only one to mention anything holiday. I just wanted to kick start a series of videos on writing and this felt like as good a time as any (and an excuse to throw out 24 tips at once!)

I do recognize that a series of videos about why it is best to get into writing may seem odd, but I wanted to make them video so they seem more personal. To start with, I won’t be talking too much about the details, and since they are short videos, they aren’t necessarily detailed. I won’t be talking grammar or such things, more along the lines of broad tips to get you started. The first will be on how your primary audience member should be you as the writer. You are the one who will read and likely refer to the materials more than anyone, and if you aren’t interested in the outcome, it is really hard to keep going.
